Re: Lock At 4% ?

Can you lock for any longer? My lender allowed me to lock for 30, 60, or 90 days, at all no cost, depending on how far into the process you're at.

I'm in the process of buying a short sale, and I locked at 3.75% last month when rates were really down, and did so for 90 days. Short sales can take forever, hence why I locked it for three months.

Re: Lock At 4% ?

When I was playing the short sale game we couldn't lock until we had a signed contract w/ an agreed upon price.   (Thus, I never locked on the short sale).

Also my rate was only good for 30 days once I did lock.

I think 4% is great and I'd take it.
