anyone know of a lender I can reach out to? My EQ FICO is 607 and TU FICO is 630. I'm a first time homebuyer looking for an FHA.
Everyone i've contact still wants a 640 EQ score, but i keep hearing there are some lenders out there that will do a 600 or higher.
I"m not much help, in the same boat as you. Have you looked into NACA? I wish we had NACA in my state, but don't.
I read on Yahoo yesterday that sub-prime mortgage is making a come back.
Also, see if there is anything you can do to bring your score up. Keep in mind that you will have to bring it up to 643 because you will lose 3 pounts for the inquiry.
An NVR Mortgage (Mortgage arm of NVR Inc, or Ryan Homes) loan officer told me they go as low as 600, but you have major hurdles to climb. There are lenders that can work with you and put you on a credit repair program before you close, but in a lot of cases, you'd need some time between applying and closing. This works the best on new contstruction homes.
PM me... I know a lender doing 600 minumum
there are lenders at the lower scores.
maybe a realtor can refer you to one?
I closed with a lower score with First Mortgage Corporation. I used a local broker, but if you go to their website, you will be led to a broker. First Guarentee Mortgage is another, but from what I know, they require a decent amount of reserves in the bank.
Good Luck!
