MY journey to my next house

Heres a quick description of the events that led me to my next house purchase

Jan 2014 found out wife was cheating

I confronted her and she got me arrested

End of Jan 2014 she got a Bogus restraining order on me and i  got kicked out of my own house

Lived in my truck parked in an Wal Mart parking lot for 2 days

Rented a room in a motel for 20 days after that

March 7 filled for divorce

Rented a bedroom in in someones house

November- sold the marital home and the large equity was held in an escrow account ( she wanted all the equity for herself )

Battled my wife and her attorney for 1 year March 2014 - February 27 2015

Feb 24th went to mediation and settled out diferences

Feb 27thwent in front of a  judge  got my divorce papers

I was a FREE MAN

That same day got an check for 50% of the equity

Sarted looking for my new house

Hired an Realtor

Put in an mortgage application with a lender recommended by a Creditboards member ( Thank you StartingOver )

Looked at some single family houses and some townhouses

Found a foreclosed townhouse that i liked

Got Pre Approved Letter from lender

Submited an offer

Offer got accepted

Lender orders appraisal

Appraisal comes in $10000 over my offer

Paper work goes to UW

UW approves with conditions

I submmit all the paperwork he requested

Now waiting for Final approval and Clear to close

Closing set for June 11th

Moral of the story?

If you are in a similar situation dont give up hope.

Theres light at end of the dark tunnel

Congratulations!  I have known so many in same situation and while it took more time for others for things to start looking up, it is always nice to see that.  I swear I will never get married again

Good for you. I'm in kind of the same situation: just closed on my first home. My ex, who is not great at financial management, is not happy. He's in the middle of divorcing the woman he cheated with and eventually left me for.

Living well is the best form of revenge.

 yep she calledl the cops and told them i touched her ( i didnt  )

So i was accused of domestic violence
