I just locked my rate at 3.750% the specifics of my loan are FHA, $140,000 at 30 years. Hopefully we will be able to close on the 29th of May as my future house is new construction and is scheduled to be completed on or around the 20th.

I am praying to close next month! I have a new construction and I am soo excited! We have been very patient and have had a very bumpy ride. But I know once we are in our new home, it wil be well worth it.

update: my appraisal was returned to the bank, this past Friday. My Loan officer did a second hard pull of my credit Friday as well (a little annoying, but whatever). I received my approval conditions yesterday evening. I turned in all my requirements last night. The listing agent will be submitting her part today. Looks like I'll be closing sooner than expected!!! Yay!!
Prayers please! I'm starting to get cold feet! lol
Good Luck to all of you on this nerve wrecking journey of home ownership!

Congratulations. Luckily for us USDA in our area (North Florida) is only taking about 48 hours. However, we were planning on closing this Friday and it looks like that is not going to happen. I called the USDA and they said they are waiting for the lender to send a letter from me verifying that I do not work and have no income. Frustrating because I know we sent that letter to the lender : (
