My husband and I have been approved for a mortgage - we were approved through the AUS then it went through underwriting and came back approved (which is very exciting). My husband and I have 2 charge offs that are unpaid. Our list of conditions DID NOT mention them - so I assume we are not required to pay them in order to close?? Is that correct? Can this come up at the last minute - can they give a new conditions list right before closing asking us to pay there old charge offs - or are we good to go at this point? (We are doing new construction and we are not closing until October).
