Also I suggest maybe also posting this question in the Bankruptcy forum. I know it's about a mortgage but you will probably get better advice from people who have been in your situation. This mortgage forum is kind of slow right now and people who check in here are usually in the process of apping for a mortgage and probably have cleaned up their reports.
