My current mortgage isn't showing up on my credit report. I performed a workout on my mortgage a few years ago after going through chapter 7 bankruptcy. The old mortgage account from before the bankruptcy shows up as closed. The replacement mortgage never ended up being reported by Wells Fargo. I've never been late on the new mortgage, yet the mortgage would show additional debt. I have not moved.
Would calling Wells Fargo and alerting them to the reporting error so that they show my mortgage for the last few years help or hurt? I'm trying to improve my credit score so that I can buy a different house summertime.
