Mortgage post bk

Hi everyone! I would like to know has anyone actually closed on a mortgage 2years post bk, and if so with which bank. I really am working hard towards becoming a homeowner but I have some doubt. Currently my scores are improving and I just recently paid down my cc debt to $11 on one account and $4 on another. I have a car payment which I reaffirmed and 0 lates and used several credit builder short term personal loans from my credit union. According to the credit simulator I should have at least a 664 by the end of the week. I'm just curious to know if its even worth my time if underwriting will decline me.

Re: Mortgage post bk

Yes it def is possible. Our bankruptcy was discharged Nov 2009 and we just closed yesterday. Any mortgage company who deals with FHA should be able to help you. The underwriter asked for letter of explanation about bankruptcy, which is very understandable.
