Have u made it to the design studio yet?

I actually went yesterday at 1:30pm with my fiance. It was really awesome being able to choose all the colors and fixtures for stuff. Since the rates are going up we had to focus on more of the things that would cost a lot more if not done during construction. more of the structural stuff I guess. Took about 2 hrs and on 8/22/2013 we have the meeting with guardian protection services which does all the home security and wiring for cable and ethernet. That's what i'm really excited about and hope I can get what I want done for a decent price without having to come out of pocket.

my mortgage broker also said everything should be great on my end and said i'd have like a 1800 credit to use for buying the rate down if I choose to. He's been really great. They haven't started to clear the land but i hope they do it this week, but with as much as it's been raining here in SC i'm doubtful... lol but i'm just happy everything is coming together. It gets to be more real each and everyday. How are things on your end swneka?

Re: My USDA home loan journey

It's been a while but I did my home security meeting about 2 weeks ago and got the majority of what I want wired. Pretty much all rooms have cable and ethernet and have surround sound in family room. They said it could take up to 6 weeks for project manager to meet with us for final run down of options we chose and start building. The waiting is killing me.

Re: My USDA home loan journey

sure no problem. We are building in Elgin partly because of the property taxes being half of what that are in richland. The neighborhood is Kelsney Ridge and the builder is Essex Homes. It's a new community with just Essex homes and they are just now starting phase 2 and will have a 3rd after the 2nd is complete. Other neighborhoods that we were previously looking at were in Blythewood. "The View" by Crown US builders. Mungo homes also has a community in blythewood. And there are a few more but I have to get ready for work. I'll pm you my brokers info though.

Re: My USDA home loan journey

Just an update for everybody. We have been approved for USDA with conditions and our only condition was paying all or collections. The house has come along fast. We have a closing date set for February 10th and we are very excited and anxious to get to that date and leave all this mortgage business behind us. Lol. I'll try to get some pictures posted soon if i can.
