My inspection was done today and they found nothing wrong except....

a few outlets that weren't properly grounded and they recommended that the furnace be cleaned (it has been sitting empty for a year...duh...) I already knew the roof only has about 5-7 years left but everything else is clean, new and updated and is virtually move in ready so I wasn't too worried.

I am going to have my brother and brother in law go through and paint before we move in while it is empty and change out a few light fixtures (there isn't one in the house that I like!) but other than that, once the financing falls into place we are good to go!

Great news on the home inspection front.

If you are thinking of having the house painted prior to closing you may want to rething that.  ANYTHING can happen at the closing table.

What I have started to learn from all of this is that there is no point in driving yourself crazy about stuff that is beyond your control. So long as you have provided all the information required and notified all parties involved that this is the date you are aiming to close on...the rest is out of your hands. So, try not to let it rip you apart with worry.  You have already done everything on your end, so just try to hold tight and wait for the phone call. But, don't worry you gave them what they asked and it just needs to go through the proper channels! I have faith it will all work out!
