Naca and "fixer upper" homes

Just a quick question, does NACA do home loans for "fixer uppers, or handyman special" homes?  I know FHA does, but wasn't sure if NACA did.  Just curious because we have seen alot of homes that are excellent deals if you have the extra money to put into them...like new roofs, sheetrock...all that good stuff.  We are schedled to attend a NACA meeting 8/8/09, I guess we could find out then...but you guys have such valuable information.

Thanks!

Re: Naca and "fixer upper" homes

Yes they do.  The "HAND" Department takes over and make sure the work is done up to specfic codes, they then allow the money to pay contractors.  They have a "very" unique system.  Read the NACA thread and there you will find closers who have dealt with the HAND department.

Peace & Blessings.
