New home loan timeline

I am new to this whole home buying process.... My fiance and I are wanting to move into a new house next August. Can anyone provide me with a timeline of what I should be doing up until that month? for example, when to get preapproved, when to find a loan officer, when to look for houses, etc.....

That is a heck of a lot of time.

 

Id say try not to get divorsed and save money. id get preapproved June and start looking for a home as soon after that.
