Hey ya'll
So DH and I made an offer Monday on a house and gave a response time of 48 hours. Well that passes in an hour. Is it usually the case that if your offer is not accepted they do not have the common courtesy to let you know? This is a relocation home being bought by the relocation company from the seller and sold to the buyer after an offer is accepted. We only offered 2950$ less than asking price.

they are notoriously bad at real estate

Yes, three offers were submitted Monday and they requested our best and final offer due by today noon but we stuck with our original offer. Still no word.

Well well well, checked dh's credit reports tonight and saw inquiries made by the relocation company today...hmmmmmm. They must be checking to see if they do accept our offer, that he'll be financable if our loan doesn't go through with Arvest. That's the only reason that I can think of for them to pull his credit reports.

What do you mean not sure if you want it??
Is there something better on the horizon? You don't like the property?

Yes there was another home we liked more than this one and the sellers just dropped the price 20k on it last night! Ugh! We're going to stick with this one though due to the privacy that surrounds it.
