First time buyer with my fiancee. We went under contract on another house in September which we pulled out of when the inspection revealed several big issues. We've hit a few bumps with this one too but will hopefully know for sure in the next day or two if we'll get through those. We discovered that the septic system was older than the actual house. They replaced the tank this year, but we found the leach field had been crushed at some point. The well is in tough shape, needing to be rewired and a new pump is needed. Assuming they agree to repair those, we should be set! Whether we can keep on track for scheduled closing will be debatable though.

So we ran into a hiccup. Apparently when the current owners purchased the property older survey maps were used and there's a little section in the rear of the propert that wasn't deeded to them (not sure if I'm saying this correctly). A pool was in this area and the land wasn't included in their purchase, so our lawyer said it might be a problem with the title company and bank. The waiting game continues!
