After Chapter 7 dishcharge in 2014 I finally close on 10/14/16

Yep, everything went smoothly. Got the keys and signed all the papers! The buyer has a leaseback period so I won't move in until the end of the month, but all the hard part is behind me. It's crazy that in 2011, I was defaulting on student loans and could barely get a secured card. I now am a first time homeowner, have fully paid off student loans, and will be paying off my car at some point in 2017. This forum has been with me every step of the way.

Appraisal is above asking
Repairs are negotiated
Today we order the title and close as soon as that comes today
Our lender said they're ready to fund.

It's only been 11 days since we put in an offer!

I usually lurk and learn. But this is a special day for me. I just closed on my first home. It was a long stressful process but I made it.

Just a couple days away closing october 21 final walk thru is Thursday at 4. things moving along just fine did my bank wire  today so it's in place before Friday morning  just ordered my new washer and dryer and scheduled for delivery October 22. Now hard part packing the current home moving and then getting it ready for sale

Got our appraisal done, and final walkthrough was today with the builder. Still don't have our final approval / clear to close. They contacted us on Tuesday asking for MORE bank statments and latest retirement account statement, hopefully thats it and we will be good to go for next Friday. I won't breathe until I have the keys in my hand though.
