Are there any good online lenders?

Personally, I prefer a local lender that has online accessability.  A local lender will have more knowledge on your area and any local programs that might affect you.  they will also be more likely to have a relationship with the escrow company.  the online access does help facilitate things becuase they are already good at sending info via fax/email.  Some banks seem to want you to drive all the paperwork right into the local branch in person and that can slow things down..

Anyways, I would say local is generally better (and by local I mean within a hour drive or so....not walking distance).  Ask friends/family for recomendations.

If you use an online lender make sure it is legitimate and not a website that will sel our info as a lead to brokers - your phone will not stop ringing
