I can't believe this. Our file, as you can see on the previous page, was shipped via UPS & is currently unaccounted for. The tracking status hasn't changed, but our loan specialist swears she saw it scanned & taken away by the UPS guy. It should have arrived today, so she's going to check with the underwriter at the destination in the morning to see if it showed up. I'm trying not to freak out. It'll be there. It'll be there. It's not lost. It's not lost.

I don't know why some lenders / some programs suck so badly at this.
Chase simply sent me everything needed for signature via email to print, sign, scan, email back as well as the disclosures... then followed it up with the full monty mail a few days later for my records (as if I actually needed it when it's all on my permanent storage now).
My employer used an electronic signature for everything other than 5 forms which I to ink sign but they were fine with email return. Redfin has done pretty much everything electronic signature too.
I don't know why the same wouldn't apply to transfers between lending institutions / locations for something like USDA. I do know reading reports here I am never going anything other than conventional, LP at employer called today, said file was going to UW tomorrow, and if I wanted to close middle of next week that would not be a problem. Granted I know it's fast track LO / LP / UW for employees (even if their rumored discount, wasn't so fantabulous but different issue I'll sort out tomorrow) but if they can do that for employee they could do it for anyone if it was required, and I only turned in paperwork late Friday afternoon to them.
Maybe if lenders ever get ahead of the curve some of the time and silliness can get optimized out of the process, though I still haven't gotten HOA/Condo disclosures yet, weaksauce .
I don't know why they're dealing with physical versions either. We signed everything via print, scan, & email too, so why can't they just email it all to the uw? I guess that's just too efficient for the government. I'm expecting an update any time now. Meanwhile, my stomach is in knots. I'm seriously on the verge of throwing up right now. To get this far only to have the entire packet go missing is torture.
WHEW! It was delivered 20 minutes ago. I can finally breathe. Hopefully it won't be long now!

Thank goodness! I can't believe that they are using paper either...what a waste of time, energy, money and efficiency.
My area doesn't allow USDA loans so I have never done one, but it is incredible that they are still doing business this way..thank goodness the file was actually delivered. I hope you get to close soon Leaving...it has been too long for you!
Not yet-- I'll wait to see what comes to me at the time. I'm super-excited & can't wait to move, put up some American Ninja Warrior stuff in the backyard, & adopt a German Shepherd! This past year in an apartment has felt like our lives are on hold.
I know you are REALLY waiting for the picture I post when she finally closes frugal... Jeez we were gonna close on the same day, and Ive already replaced my toilet paper holder.
LMAO....
that is a cute figurine!!!!
