Just passing along what I was told by a customer service rep. This information could be incorrect, but it's unlikely with how conservative they are.
The underwriters at Penfed will not approve any loan if there has been a 30 day late within the last FOUR years. Same goes for any derogatory information on your credit report within the last four years.
