Any good advice on a source for getting a personal loan (20K+) with a resonable rate with my specs?

Credit union can probably give you the best rate and your income will probably determine the amount of the loan.

Right now I have checking accounts with BOA (pretty new), and Union Bank of California

I have been with BofA for about 6 years now and they are always trying to push loans on me.  I thought that maybe if you had been with them for a while then that might be a good place to start.

My brother is young with no credit and lots of inquiries, he has an account with BoA and I checked their rates for a secured credit card for him. The rate is 19.something% versus 4.5% at my credit union. I'm going to have him close his account no later than this week

I found a credit union today, but the rates seem to be high on the credit cards. They start at 12+%.
