Here's the house I bought 4 months ago. Texas, $248k, 4 bed, 3.5 bath, office, media room, game room, extra storage space in the garage. Elementary school in walking distance. These are model home pics but my house looks identical to this one.
Sig fixed.
@Jus lol 711=lender 737=myFICO..letdown but I expected it after reading the TU differences thread :/
All of this is pretty depressing. I paid 350K for my little shack 1600 sq ft ranch constructed in 1964 here in Massachusetts...

Sorry to say but 350k out here in the So Cal area could get you a rental and a nice live-in house, or something that would have gone for 650k+ back in the "glory days."
Depending on the size and same features it ranges from 200-300k in a subdivision with .20-.3 acres or so in NW Arkansas. I think this is the smallest at around 1900sq

I agree, I used to live in socal and we never thought we could buy anything because the houses were so expensive. It was a shame. They were too close together and at least 30 years old costing almost a million dollars. Living in Texas has made everything more affordable. I even have a savings account.

I forgot to mention that it's 3500 square feet.

Agree 100%
Good for you.
I've been begging a bank for 3 months to sell me 1200 sq ft in the real estate glut that is Las Vegas.
This is the model home, but ours will look just like it. We are in Tx. $246k, 3400 sq ft, 4 bd, 3 bath, study, game room, media room, vaulted ceilings, love it! So very excited, we've been on this journey for last 3 years. House should be completed mid April!
--- Kitchen/Breakfast nook from living area. We'll have tile in kitchen and breakfast nook, carpet in living
