Pre-Approved! Now The Underwriter Process

Girlfriend and I has been shopping around with lenders throughout the past 2 weeks. We finally locked in the rate with a lender this morning. Looking to closed sometimes in June, the earlier the better.

We are buying her parents' place with a gift of equity (10% of price), and no other cash for down payments. We had two options, and went with A.

A. 3.5% with PMI and Closing Costs

B. 3.75% with PMI and No Closing Costs

Mid-score is 767 for the both of us.

Let's hope everything goes as smoothly as possible for the next few weeks. Will update everyone as soon as I get any news.

I seriously envy you knowing the seller and the condition of the house so well, doesn't exempt you from going through the process but the shock and awe discovery session I went through on my first shot isn't likely to happen.  Hopefully things do go smoothly!
