Pre-qualified letters

Pre-qualified letters - are they the real deal. My last post was a typo - I have a pre-qualified letter from lending tree with loan type (80/20) with actual amounts for each loan listed. Is this as good as gold? I realize I still have to lock in - but I need some reassurance this is legite.
I obviously don't trust loan officers...

Re: Pre-qualified letters

Pre-quaulified offers are just a piece of a marketing campaign to lure people into applying... Really has nothing to do with your credit profile... Mostly just where your address is.
