If you are looking to go conventional, yes there is a price break. What size downpayment are you working with?
We have about 10% saved (a little over $30K saved and we are looking to spend around $300K) but are thinking we'll only put down about half that and keep the rest in savings. We'll play arouind with the numbers a little and see what works best. We may end up going FHA if it's a better deal for us.
