Qualifying TLs

One of the requirements for a mortgage loan program I want to apply for is that you have two accounts with a credit line over a $1000. She said my car loan would count. I don't have a credit card or personal loans for this.

I'm currently back on school. Would my student loans count? They are in good standing and were deferred last month.

Re: Qualifying TLs

Depends if they accept deferred student loans or not.  Very few mortgages require you have accounts with a certain credit limit, so it'd something that is unique to the specific program you are qualifying for.  I suspect since it was in repayment at one point with an on time payment history it would count, but only the lender you are applying with could tell you for certain.
