Question about disputes during mortgage process

I just got my prequal yesterday and working on preapproval. If I use the Hipaa method to dispute a medical collection will it screw me up in underwriting? Working with a local bank and they have my credit reports already so they know about this collection.

Don't add any disputes now. It will mess up your mortgage application.
