thankfulheart I just meant that we personally weren't comfortable going with higher than 25% or so for our front end costs toward mortgage/insurance/taxes/interest because of how high our medial insurance is. Regardless of what the bank says we can afford. Should have clarified, sorry!

Smart move.  Y'know what will happen.  They will approve you for the loan, then blame you for not knowing better if you have trouble paying your mortgage.
