Removing 'dispute' necessary for FHA?

We're applying for an FHA loan as soon as my husbands student loans update on his credit report. I had disputed some items in September because of the dates. One, which is an old collection for a credit card, is still showing up as disputed. I think the balance is $1100.  Will that affect our approval? How do I get it removed? If it won affect approval, isit worth it to get it removed?

outstanding disputes downgrade the file to a manual underwrite.

haveing them removed makes things go smoother.

i guess other lenders could look at it differently.... but that is how we apply the guidelines.

How do I do it? Also, since on my husbands credit report, will they allow me to call?

i bet he will have to call.

tell them you disputed some things a long time ago. and some comments remain about disputing. tell them this is holding up your home loan.

you may have to telk to more than one person. my clients tell me that some will play dumb
