Hey all, there's a property that has been on and off the market for about 2 years now in the area (upstate New York - Capital Region area) and is as close to a dream home as we've found that's within our budget.
The problem is that we'd prefer to go through SONYMA, a NY lending program with fantastic rates and slightly more lenient credit requirements BUT has a 5 acre parcel limit. The home in question is on a 10+ acre parcel. My question is this: has anyone heard of (or would it be a reasonable request) a potential buyer to request the seller subdivide the land before making an offer? Or to include it in an offer as a condition?
