Nothing personal but you are not ready to own a home. Relying on your parents to hold your money shows a lack of discipline with money that you need to work on. Obviously having the money in your name that you can document is viewed more favorably.
I would wait a year. Not a great time to buy anyway so use this time to get a stable financial position.
