Scheduled to close on 06/30, purchase price on GFE is wrong

i just got a copy of our final GFE and the purchase price is wrong by 1k. the loan amount on the commitment letter is also off by $800  but thats not a big deal as we can bring the extra $800 to closing. Do you think we should mention it to our credit union monday morning.we are fearful that this will delay the closing. Our contract price is 88k but the GFE states 87k. also, do you think this descrepancy would affect us when we send of for the 8k tax credit? thanks in advance

Yes this will be an issue when the title company gets the final docs, they won't match up to the purchase contract and then the lender will have to re-underwrite you for the correct sales price.  Call your loan officer at the credit union ASAP.  Was there a sales price addendum changing the price from $87k to $88k that the credit union may have missed?

Hopefully you will still be able to close today, the key was to contact the LO immediately to get the change taken care of.  How did that go?
