 This process could not have been easier. Best real estate agent and loan processor ever. From offer to closing within 5 weeks. The home was built in a new neighborhood in 2009 and sold for 129,900. It's a foreclosure, and new homes are still being constructed in the neighborhood, which I've been told will help my equity, since they are selling for $119,000+

We got our closing date!

  • Closing date: September 28!!!!

I Finally closed!!!! So Happy I can finally post in this forum and say I am a Homeowner. It was a VERY Long process, but well worth it! Purchase Price: $150,000 Property: 1619 sq ft New Construction built 2012 Submitted offer on: 12/19/11 Signed Purchased contract on : 12/19/11 Type of Loan: FHA Loan Rate: 2.875% Loan Application submitted: 2/16/12 Loan approved: 2/28/12 Closing date: 9/6/12

We are waiting on the appraisal to get final loan approval. This has all moved so fast. I can't believe it!

Wow.. Firstly Congratulations!

 

Our contract was signed around the same time, but we are still in attorney review. Its great to know that you are able to close so quickly. None of the mortgage lenders were confident enough to close in 30 days due to the high volume of loan applications, though we have 800+ credit and upto 25% downpayment. Are  you getting home inspection done?

Home inspection was done Monday morning with nothing major found. There were a few little things but not enough to hold up the appraisal.
