Short-sale deal

Shane, Dallas, or anyone who knows this answer....

What are the "JUNK FEES" which can be cut out of the closing costs?  The purchase price is 65,000 but the total closing costs are $8,000 This seems alittle high?

Thank you to anyone who can chime in on this

Re: Short-sale deal

I believe the 800s are generally negotiable and the rest are 3rd party fees or pre-paids that aren't really up for discussion.  But if you post your example maybe someone can give a better idea.  Shane has a very detailed post here that may be helpful.

Re: Short-sale deal

I agree, post your GFE and hopefully Shane or Dallas will look at it. The link in the previos poster's reply is a good place to start. Also search for other GFEs that have been posted.

Re: Short-sale deal

Are you including your down payment in that figure or is that just closing costs and prepaids?
