Soft pull before closing?

May be a dumb question but how do you know it is funded and good to go?  Do they tell you?  I have some things I want to do but waiting on the close.  Now I am worried I should wait a little longer.

Yea mine didn't get funded till like 3 days after closing.  Closing was on 8/30 and they told me they couldn't do it that day then Monday was a holiday and then Tuesday they recorded the deed and then Wednesday the loan was funded.

I actually had to call them because I saw a soft pull on 9/5 which was Thursday (after funding) and I was like dude... stop checking my credit!!  She had to call the main office or something to make sure they had turned off their credit monitoring... lol.
