Stripped kitchen -- what do I need to do for loan approval?

Hey everybuddy,

Thanks for your help throughout this process? Have made some progress since my last post, now waiting for an appraisal of the home I am hoping to buy.

For background, I am buying a foreclosure and previous owner stripped the kitchen bare (cabinets, appliances, everything)... rest of the house is in perfect condition. What will I need to do with the kitchen (short of a full renovation on a house I don't own yet) to qualify for a loan? I am applying for a first time homebuyer's program through BOA.

Does BofA offer at 203k FHA loan which is a rehab based FHA loan?? Reason I ask is redoing that kitchen is going to cost between 10-20k to redo since the owner stripped it bare unless there is going to be enough equity in the house at close to qualify for a heloc to pay for that repair.
