Student loan questions

I have  2 Parent Plus Loans- 1st is 5663.91@6.125
2nd is $ 8827.56@8.5%  My FICO is 691 and 678

My husband has a Tuition Answer loan in his name $ 9268@9.25% . His FICO is 730 .Should we try to reconsolidate? Is it worth it to possibly decrease our credit scores just by transferring amounts to a different loan company. We are with Sallie Mae and our considering going to Nelnet. We are trying to double up payments, but these are taking backseat to about 20,000 in credit card debt

Thanks
