We've been first-time homeowners now for approximately 1 month and it has been wonderful. I am so grateful to all of the advice and tips I've read in this forum. Purchasing a home is the most nerve wrecking task I've ever faced but the result made the whole experience worthwhile. Getting those keys in our hands was a priceless moment. What I did learn upfront is that you need to always be expeditious when your lender requests forms and stay on top of your status. It's okay to call or e-mail your loan officer with any questions or concerns because until closing, they work for you. Don't give up. I have the patience of a toddler and if I can do it, anyone can. Good luck to any of you who are on the journey to homeownership!

Congrats on closing, and good tips regarding being prompt with the paperwork and not ever being afraid to ask your LO questions.
