Two credit cards closed by grantor

So today I was informed that two of my credit cards were closed because of returned payments. I was given the account number used since I indeed had funds in my account and I was one digit off on my routing number. The creditor said the only way they'll be able to reinstate my accounts is if was do to some type of fraud or if my bank sends out a letter with a bank letterhead stating it was their fault. Obviously it was no one elses fault but mine and the problem is i'm looking to apply for a USDA direct loan this coming May. How do mortgage lenders view accounts closed by grantor? I wouldn't have any other negatives on my account besides them two accounts being closed.
