USDA Automatic Underwrting

My lender just told me that USDA does not do automatic underwrting.  IS this true?  I though they did.  Should I look for a new lender?

Some do, but not all. The USDA auto underwriting system is called GUS.

Most do not offer it to the agents but they use it at the Underwriting level
