You just made my heart skip a beat!!! Lol. That was music to my ears! My specialist did send a "request for title opinion and legal services" to the title company on 8/30/17, but now that the appraisal is in, they can request title (I'm guessing). The title company says they are just waiting on title request from usda and we should be able to get a closing date. Gosh, I hope it's soon.
OneUp - One more question. How long between the time you got your closing date, did you close? I know you said you got a closing date about a week after title request, but how long after you got your closing date, did you actually close? I'm so scared they are going to give me a closing date that's over a month away or something. Lol
I'm working with a broker and he actually owns the house. Lol, Well its a modular home. I have told them repeatedly that I need to be out by 9/30. They just keep saying soon. I guess we'll see. Crosses fingers.
Finally received email back from USDA specialist stating he got my appraisal and will work on it as best he can between now and Monday. Not sure what exactly he means by "work on it", but I hope that means sending the title request to title company, so they can get me set up with a closing date.
OneUp - Asked for update from my LO today and he says this:
"usda got appraisal back - sent back to appraiser for some technical changes. hope to get back tomorrow."
Do you know what that could mean? Technical changes?
Not that I know of. Is that a paper that I have to sign? I did get this email from my LO back on 8/25/17 before my appraisal was ordered:
"talked to specialist, usda yesterday. he hasnt ordered appraisal yet! said state office had them pooling money (your loan has funded) but he said it may be another week or 2 before he can order it - would do it asap."
He says "your loan has funded" I'm guessing that's not the same thing as a funding commitment though, right?
