USDA Guaranteed (FL) Loan File Review Progress UPDATE!!

We are in the process of USDA in OHIO. Does any one know how quickly they are processing?

Hi Falco33!

Well I have one person who is out in Ohio and she has been contacting this hotline number for your state to know statuses on USDA loan applications. Here is the number: 614-255-2571. I believe it is also a recording just like the one I use down here. They basically provide daily recorded updates as to what file dates they are reviewing for that day.

For example ours here in Central FL, they are now reviewing files dated 10/3-10/8, the are slowly making progress as all last week they were on files dated 10/1-10/5. Due to them being behind, I was told via email that they will not be closed this Friday, only for Thanksgiving.

Now our FL USDA website also provides an email address to make contact with one of the specialists, but I do not know what is for Ohio. I believe this is their website address: http://www.rurdev.usda.gov/oh/

As I stated in my previous postings, our delays down here have been due to the USDA office being understaffed and slammed with USDA loan applications. Plus some of the files they are receiving have been incomplete only adding more burden to the process. So hopefully up there in Ohio is not so bad. But you should know once you call the hotline number and see what file dates they are reviewing. Should it be similar to ours, then they too are behind.

Hi,

I'm in Ohio and have been calling the # emy provided for the last couple of weeks now.  They have been consistently behind by 3 weeks exactly.  On the recording they provide where they are as far as application submission review as well as closing packs.  You only need to concern yourself with application submission.  Closing pack information is for banks and LO's. 

Ask your LO when your app was submitted and then call the number to find out where you are in line.

Thanks ours was submitted November 8th. I'm still nervous that something will go! It's been a long road to get here. thank you for all the information.

I'm in Ohio and our file was submitted on November 8th as well...today they are on October 29th; I'm hoping we'll hear something end of next week or early the following week.

So sorry it took me so long!!! WE finally closed on the 15th and moved into our new home!!!  So it took from Oct 1- Nov 12 to get through USDA!!  I'm so glad it's over!! Good luck to everyone!!!

Maybe this will be our week Falco33! The USDA hotline says they are working on packages received Nov. 1st...but the email update they sent my loan officer this morning says Nov. 2nd (which would put us 3 business days out). I sure do hope that both of us get to close next week! I can't take much more of this anxiously waiting stuff.

No word yet HopelfulKT??    I'm waiting for USDA also and have been enjoying everyone's stories and triumphs. Nice to know im not the only one going through the USDA torture!
