USDA Preapproval

I passed the prequalification app for USDA, and have an appointment on Thursday for the full application. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to reach a decision, and do they pull your credit report on that same day?

Are you referring to the USDA Direct program?  Our application took a month to process but they said the county we live in had a huge amount of applications.  Our credit reports were pulled they day we submitted all of our information and the check for the reports.

It will depend on how busy the local office is....  some say 3 to 5 days....  Mine went through in 8 business days.  Others on the forum waited over a month....  Easiest thing to do is find the office number on the USDA website and call them.  They won't mind helping with those questions... but they will get annoyed if you call them everyday asking if you've been approved
