I have heard back from my person at the Rual development office and she finally gotten our credit reports pulled. Here is what she wrote to me:
I have received the credit report back of this date. Sorry I am unable to process it at this time. The status of our funding is limited and we are now required to defer applications. Hopefully we will resume processing in about 30 days.
I will keep you informed.
I'm not really sure if this is bad news or just one of those things to deal with while trying to get a direct loan through them. At least they didn't straight out deny us because of the bankruptcy in 2009.
