Well, I sorta gave up on looking for houses until I happened to take a look at a foreclosure home today that I love. So tomorrow I'm going to work up my VA Loan pre-approval and then put an offer in! Not thinking I was getting a mortgage any time soon, I opened up a new credit card a week ago, and it hasn't posted to my credit report yet, but should in the next 3 weeks, and have 4 other new credit cards from July, and one from April. My loan officer said it shouldn't be a problem though as long as I justify the cards and the inquiries and since my DTI is 0%. Wish me luck! I'll keep this post updated with the process.

Got the counter offer today, accepted it, and resubmitted. We are doing the property inspection on Friday then ordering the VA loan appraisal! Moving along... Potential closing date around 12/5/12!

Nice house. If I may ask, what part of the country is that in?
