Using the $8,000 tax credit in the Sacramento, CA area

I am hoping to purchase my first home soon in Sacramento county but cannot find a lender who is currently allowing the $8,000 tax credit to be used up front for the closing costs.  I understand it is a voluntary program, but the lenders here just don't seem to be prepared, or willing to do it.

My question is:  Is there anyone out there, in the Sacramento area that knows of any lenders that are currently or will soon be allowing the use of these funds up front?

My current lender is Wells Fargo, through CalPERS, but they are still working on trying to figure out how to do it and it doesn't sound like it will be any time soon.

Thanks.
