VA Home Loan

Does anyone know the qualifying factors for a VA Home Loan?

i.e. Credit Score, Debt to income, downpayment, etc.

I am a veteran myself with loan credit scores. I didn't qualify for a VA but was qualified for a FHA with 580 score and its already in escrow.

VA is a little tighter with their approvals it seems to me. It is underwritten pretty much the same as FHA.

FICO score is only one of the many factors.

Sub 600 scores are ok with good housing history and good cash reserves.

Also, you can do 100% financing with VA and no PMI.  If you are over a certain percentage disabled, you can get the funding fee waived which is usually the only downside to VA loans.
