VA Mortgage Journey

April 15- Went through Pre-Qualification with first bank

Decided after reading different mortgage reivews to go through another bank. 
April 16- Received another pre-qualificaiton through another bank.

April 19-Signed contract on new build. 
April 20-Signed mortgage application.

May 16-Processor asked for more documents.

June 2-Received Mortgage Letter Commitment. 

Home will not be finished until mid-June so our conditions are pending home appraisal/survey. 
In the beginning of this lender said we were ran through automated underwriting and passed. 

This is our first VA loan. Scores are in the 690's and had two late 30's on credit card and $50,000 in investments.

Did you go with a local bank or a national one?

I'll be joining you on a VA mortgage hunt next year. Congrats on the new house, I hope the rest of the process is smooth!
