I will not be on hubby's VA loan. Can he put my name on the deed at settlement? Or do we have to wait? Please HELP!
My wife is not on our loan but will be on the deed, ours is a USDA loan but I'm not sure if it depends on the loan or the state you're in. I'm sure someone knows more then I do.
Depending on the lender, you can add her by completing a "quit claim" either at closing or after the loan is funded by going to the courthouse yourselves. Easy to do - no worries. Good Luck.
Most lenders will permit the non-borrowing spouse to be on title. You should ask your loan officer/loan processor.
Yes, I will ask the lender about letting me be on the title.
Thanks for telling me about the quit-claim process.

I was told that Fannie Mae would not allow this.
It is very common for lenders to allow this on a VA loan.
Good luck and Thanks for Serving
