VA loan question

In looking at getting a VA loan for a new home after June. This will be the first time I have done a va loan so I'm not fully aware of some parts of the process.

I got my certificate of eligibility online at the va site.

It says
Entitlement code 10
Branch of service ARMY
Funding fee non exempt

It has a sentence after "this veterans basic entitlement is $36,000. Total entitlement charged to previous VA loans is $0

After that it has a paragraph explaining more and that additional entitlement is available for most loans in excess of $144,00

What does the $36,000 basic entitlement mean?

Can I use this for a $250,000 loan(assuming I'm credit qualified of course)

Re: VA loan question

yes they all say that if your are entitled to the full amount up to 417k or higher depending on where you live it could be more. I was just approved VA no down payment for 373k and my COE says the same thing. Good luck!
