So my lender is having trouble getting a VOE from a previous employer for our Conventional Loan. I've been employed by my current employer since December 2015 so almost 18 months now. My previous employer isn't the easiest to get to do anything because they are a small company with no actual HR department. My lender has been asking my previous employer for the VOE since last Wednesday but they were on vacation for 3 weeks. I called them today after the lender has three times now and they advised they would reach out to them by end of business today and still nothing. For Fannie mae can they use W-2s and verify the tax documents in place of the VOE if need be?
It's the only thing holding up our closing at this point...
