WHY IS UNDERWRITER TAKING SO LONG ITS BEEN SINCE 09/27/10..

HOW LONG DOES IT USUALLY TAKE I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA. OMG.

it's been 6 days!

some banks are really loaded down with refi

With our first lender it took 2 weeks, then 3 days every time we re-submitted with conditions fulfilled.

With 2nd lender it was with UW for 8 days, then with the loan processor for 4 days. 

My best advice for the home buying process--"hurry up and wait"  :-)

you are IN LINE to be underwritten.

u/w takes a couple of hours.... but you sit in line.

For those of us with 30 day escrows, do we get put on top of pile?

they manage their pipeline the best they can..... so, yes, they move files around based on closing dates.

but that doesnt mean that a late submission will make your deal late.

all depends on the lender
